The Most Dangerous Drug
by Kelley Campbell

Yes, it's addictive.
But you don't take it through a needle.
It can be sniffed, but not cut into lines.
This is a drug that targets the heart.
It carves its tracks into the soul,
Scarcely marking the flesh.
Think of the highest high, from the most laboratory pure.
It's nothing, lower than the lowest abyss,
Compared to this...

Yes, it's addictive.
Sometimes just one glance
Can hook you for a lifetime.
Pray that you never get that high.
'Cause the crash leaves you crying,
Sometimes for years.
And if that fall doesn't kill you,
The craving will.
