The Passion Inside
by Joanne Elizabeth

The passion that sleeps inside
creeps out just after sunset
Through this lace gown,
I can feel him on my skin
when he is really miles away

The height of this flame
makes your reality a little nervous
but I am not afraid
because I am not ashamed
of my body or what's inside

One day you'll look back
and be surprised at what you see
When morning comes again
you'll feel the sun in you, and me - until then
may the ground be still beneath your feet

The uncertainty of this life
makes your mind a little nervous
but you should not be afraid
because you should not be ashamed
of your body or what's inside
